Critical Care RN - 13 Week Contract

This position offers a 12-hour day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Every other weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Job Description

The Critical Care RN will function independently under the general guidance of the Director, following specific protocols and policies of the unit. The role requires critical thinking skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage patient care in emergency settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in a 20-bed critical care unit with a patient ratio of 1:2.
• Utilize time management and problem-solving skills to deliver quality patient care.
• Perform advanced procedures including ventilation, ICP monitoring, and hemodynamic monitoring.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of current critical care experience.
• Massachusetts RN license.
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred certifications include TNCC, PALS, and PEARS.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
• IV qualifications are required.
