Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Night Shift

This position requires a night shift schedule following a 12-hour work pattern (12x3).

Job Description

The role is for a Med/Surg Registered Nurse in a dedicated education unit. Travel nurses will focus solely on patient care for mixed Med/Surg patients in a 30-bed unit. The nurse will manage an average patient ratio of 5-6:1.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Med/Surg unit
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient outcomes
• Document patient assessments and care plans accurately
• Monitor and report changes in patient conditions
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Experience in a level 1 trauma center or a mid to large hospital is required
• Current BLS certification is required; ACLS preferred
• Must maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate timely engagement in responsibilities

Assignment Duration

This is a guaranteed hours position for 36 hours per week.
