Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Schedule

Nights, 4x12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30); every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. This position may require charge duties, and candidates with experience are preferred, though training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care for high-risk labor and delivery patients.
• Assist with triage and testing of obstetrical patients.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as needed.
• Perform assessments and monitor fetal heart rates.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and postpartum care.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active AK RN license in hand for auto offer.
• 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery is preferred.
• Current CPR (BLS) and ACLS certifications required.
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certifications are also required.
• NRP certification required.
