Registered Nurse - Telemetry Unit

Schedule

This position involves rotating shifts: 3x12 hours for both day (07:00 - 19:30) and night (19:00 - 07:30) schedules. Expect a 6-week rotation that includes 3 weeks of day and 3 weeks of night shifts, based on unit needs.

Job Description

We are seeking a capable and experienced Registered Nurse to join our telemetry unit. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse adult patient population, primarily focusing on patients with respiratory and cardiac conditions. The position requires a commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Manage patients' telemetry and vital signs.
• Provide care for patients following cardiac procedures and manage cardiac drips.
• Perform assessments and monitor patients for any changes in health status.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families on health management and wellness.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or critical care setting is required.
• Current PA or Compact RN license.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required.
• Experience with Cerner charting system is a must.
• Candidate must be willing to float as needed and work every other weekend.
