Part-time evenings, 2x8s or 3x8s weekly, including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Description

The RN Supervisor, under the direction of the Director of Nursing, oversees the operation of the nursing units while ensuring quality resident care through the teaching and supervision of staff on assigned shifts. This role collaborates with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers to address unit problems and makes sound administrative decisions in their absence.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation of nursing units and provide clinical supervision to assigned employees.
• Ensure quality resident care through effective teaching and supervision of nursing staff.
• Communicate with nursing leadership regarding unit issues and collaborate to resolve problems.
• Make administrative decisions off-shift/weekends within the identified scope of responsibility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State Registered Professional Nurse licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in long-term care.
• Supervisory or clinical lead experience over multiple units preferred.
• BLS certification required (AHA or RQI).
• CPI certification obtained within 90 days of hire.
