Registered Nurse - Long-Term Care (LTC) - Full-Time Evenings

This is a full-time position with evening shifts from 3pm to 11:30pm, requiring every other weekend and holiday coverage.

Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) oversees the operation of the nursing units in a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting. This position involves providing clinical supervision to employees, planning and coordinating activities within the nursing department, and ensuring quality resident care through effective teaching and supervision of staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulations within the nursing units.
• Communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and/or Nurse Managers regarding unit problems and collaborate on resolutions.
• Make sound administrative decisions in the absence of the Director of Nursing and Administrator on off-shifts or weekends.
• Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Evaluate and document resident care activities and outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN licensure.
• BLS Certification (must be through AHA or RQI only).
• Minimum of one year of Long-Term Care (LTC) experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
