Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Days)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, with every other weekend required. Rare on-call duties may be expected.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to predominantly work in the 1S Observation unit. The candidate will also be required to float to other Medical-Surgical units including Respiratory, Stroke, and Cardiac units, as well as possibly assist in the Emergency Department if suitably skilled. Proficiency in Epic EMR is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Observation unit and other assigned areas.
• Conduct telemetries and monitor patients for any changes in condition.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform assessments, administer medications, and document patient progress in Epic EMR.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• A minimum of 3 years of recent telemetry experience is required, with competency in reading telemetry strips.
• Proficiency in Epic Electronic Medical Records (EMR) is mandatory.
