Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Neuro Med Surg unit will provide high-quality care to patients in a specialized setting. The nurse is expected to demonstrate competent nursing practices, administer medications, monitor patient progress, and coordinate with the healthcare team to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adult patients with neurological and surgical needs.
• Monitor and assess patients for changes in condition.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Document patient care and collaborate with the healthcare team.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Neuro Med Surg.
• NIH Stroke Scale and Swallow Screen certifications preferred.
• Competency in dysrhythmia monitoring is required.
