Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00) with some weekend shifts required.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to float between units and provide care for patients experiencing high-risk labor and delivery situations, including those with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, and VBAC/TOLAC. The nurse will be responsible for active management of laboring patients, as well as induction and augmentation processes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery.
• Implement nursing interventions during active labor and in response to maternal emergencies.
• Assist in the induction and augmentation of labor when necessary.
• Float to other nursing units as required to meet patient care needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand (Compact license accepted).
• Previous charge experience highly preferred.
