Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shifts: 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00). Must commit to some weekend shifts and be available during select holidays.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality patient care in a variety of situations, including acute care for high-risk patients and emergencies related to labor and delivery. This position requires the ability to float between units and handle multiple patient assessments and treatments, including managing laboring patients and maternal emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for high-risk labor and delivery patients.
• Monitor and manage induction/augmentation of labor.
• Assist with antepartum care for patients with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, and multiples.
• Handle VBAC/TOLAC procedures as necessary.
• Respond effectively to maternal emergencies and complications during labor.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• At least one year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Valid state RN license (Compact license must be in hand at submission).
• Previous charge experience preferred.
