Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a Day Shift schedule from 0700 to 1900, but flexibility to take other shifts may be required.

Job Description

The Emergency Department consists of a Main ED with 11 beds, a Fast Track ED with 6 beds, and an Observation Unit with 7 beds. All ED nurses are expected to regularly rotate through each area. Nurses will also be assigned to Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening. Daily assignments may shift based on patient volume and unit needs, and may include assisting with Covid testing or immunization clinics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through various areas of the Emergency Department including Triage and Quick Registration.
• Assist with patient care in response to the needs of the unit.
• Participate in Covid testing and immunization clinics as assigned.
• Be prepared to float to other departments as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years recent RN experience in emergency nursing is required.
• Must possess American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, and conscious sedation certification (available through the facility after confirmation).
