Cath Lab Technologist - Radiology/Cardiology

Job Description

The Cath Lab Technologist will assist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Responsibilities include managing equipment setup, maintaining sterile fields, and providing patient care throughout the procedures. The role requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and interventional procedures.
• Set up and maintain equipment in the Cath Lab.
• Ensure adherence to sterile technique and isolation precautions.
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs during procedures.
• Assist with patient preparation and post-procedure care.
• Respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and provide immediate care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Current certifications in BLS and ARRT or RCIS/CCI.
• South Carolina state license is required prior to the start of employment.
• Strong experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
