Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown/Med Surg unit. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing patients with respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections (UTIs), acute kidney injury (AKI), and chest pain. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care while maintaining the standard of the unit.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and manage titratable drips including Heparin, Insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone.
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to critical situations.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
• Utilize telemonitoring systems to track patient status effectively.
• Provide mentorship and supervision to nurse aides on the unit.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have prior Stepdown/Med Surg experience.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
• Registered Nurse licensure required.
• Ability to read telemetry and recognize arrhythmias.
