Neuro Nurse

Night shift, 3x12-hour schedule (18:45 - 07:15).

Job Description

Join our neuro unit team, where you'll provide exceptional patient care with a focus on teamwork and safety. As a Neuro Nurse, you'll be responsible for managing patients with various neuro conditions, ensuring adherence to policies including RTO regulations. Travel nurses who are adaptable and willing to float within the facility are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care for adults and geriatrics, focusing on neuro conditions.
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:6.
• Utilize systems such as Pyxis and EPIC for medication and documentation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary support working alongside IV teams, Physical Therapy, and other support services.
• Prepare to work during catastrophic events and adhere to call-off policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required.
• Current RN license (NC or Compact) is preferred.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke certification preferred.
• Experience with charge nurse responsibilities is a plus.
• Proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing IVs is essential.
