Registered Nurse - Surgical

Schedule

Travelers will be assigned three 12-hour shifts per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with a focus on surgical care for an adult surgical unit. The role entails providing pre- and postoperative care for patients undergoing various procedures.

Responsibilities

• Administering pre- and postoperative nursing care
• Monitoring vital signs and managing IV and PCA pumps
• Documenting patient care accurately in EMR systems
• Providing education and support to patients and families
• Assisting in various surgical procedures as necessary

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• State of Hawaii RN license (must have by start of assignment)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in surgical nursing, with strong pre/postoperative skills
• Experience with abdominal surgeries, such as laparoscopic cholecystectomies and mastectomies, is preferred
