Nights Registered Nurse - Mental Health & Substance Abuse

Schedule

This position requires working 12-hour night shifts, with a commitment to three shifts per week, totaling 36 hours.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care to adults and seniors facing mental health and substance use disorders. This position involves administering treatment, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to adults and seniors in an inpatient mental health setting.
• Administer medication and monitor patient responses.
• Engage in group therapy sessions and support activities.
• Implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in admissions, specifically in mental health or substance abuse settings.
• Current and active nursing license in the state of practice.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification (training available upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility guidelines.
