Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care on a unit specializing in post-operative, oncology, and telemetry patients. Responsibilities include monitoring patient vitals, administering medications, and providing post-operative care for general MedSurg patients, as well as oncology patients with complications. Experience with chest tubes and chemotherapy administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage patient care in a fast-paced environment.
• Administer IV drips, primarily Heparin; no cardiac drips required.
• Provide care to post-operative patients and those with oncology diagnoses.
• Manage telemetry patients, interpreting strips as necessary.
• Collaborate with CNAs and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy Biotherapy) certification preferred.
• Experience working in a telemetry and post-operative nursing environment is necessary.
