Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist will perform complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the general direction of a physician and the department supervisor. Specializing in multiple areas, such as Cardiac, Vascular, or General ultrasound, the technologist will execute diagnostic procedures to aid in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of various medical conditions, adhering to industry standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures according to established protocols.
• Review images for identification, technique, and completeness.
• Participate in accreditation and re-accreditation application processes.
• Provide training and mentorship to new staff and sonography students.
• Utilize advanced imaging skills to ensure improved patient outcomes.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety and accreditation standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active registry with either Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS, RVS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS, RVT, RDCS).
• CPR certification upon hire.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in the respective departments.
• Experience in OBGYN, small parts, cardiovascular, and pediatrics is highly preferred.
