Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Telemetry

Schedule

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30), Every Other Weekend, Holidays as needed.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical Telemetry unit who is ready to provide exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves floating across different facilities and caring for a diverse patient population including observation patients, those with respiratory conditions, and diabetic patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient health and vital signs.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Facilitate communication among healthcare team members, including physicians and specialists.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health management.
• Participate in patient care planning and evaluation.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic health record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Previous charge RN experience preferred.
• Successful completion of a Pass Fail EKG exam required during onboarding.
