Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Surg Unit

This position offers a shift from 07:00 PM to 07:30 PM with every other holiday and weekend commitment required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be assigned to a fast-paced and high-energy Med/Surg unit, providing essential care to patients in a 26-bed facility that emphasizes teamwork and accountability. This role is particularly suited for those experienced in Med/Surg care, with a focus on our Bariatric Program and Total Joint Program of Excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care in accordance with established standards and protocols.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Prepare and administer medications as per physician orders and institutional policies.
• Monitor and document patient condition, reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to unit goals and initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) state license.
• Must meet all onboarding health requirements, including MMR, hepatitis B, Tdap, and varicella.
• Must complete agency drug screening and background checks.
• Travelers may be floated to other units as needed.
