Burn ICU Night Registered Nurse

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. There is an option for either 36 or 48 hours per week.

Job Description

The Burn ICU provides critical care for patients with severe burn injuries. Nurses in this unit will be responsible for comprehensive patient care, focusing on wound care, pain management, and line placements. Nurses will assist with intubation and manage ventilated patients among other critical care nursing responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the care of patients in the Burn ICU with a patient ratio of 1:2.
• Provide advanced wound care and pain management for burn patients.
• Perform line placements and assist with intubation as necessary.
• Administer medications and monitor critical patient parameters.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a critical care setting.
• Experience with travel nursing and floating is required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Must hold a valid RN license in the state.
