Registered Nurse - Cardiac Surgery

Schedule

12-hour days, full-time schedule with expected guaranteed hours of 34.5 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) with specialized experience in cardiac surgery to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in both circulating and scrub roles, providing essential support during various cardiac surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist and manage surgical procedures including CABG, EVH, chest closure, thoracoscopy, wedge resection, aortic valves, and mitral valves.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes during surgery.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery following cardiac procedures.
• Utilize electronic health records through the EPIC system for documentation and patient management.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York State Nursing License.
• BLS Certification required.
• Demonstrated experience in cardiac surgical procedures and roles.
