Registered Nurse - Cardiac OR Operating Room

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Job Description

The Adult Cardiac OR provides care for a diverse range of patients undergoing procedures such as CABGs, TAVIs, and treatments for heart failure including VADs, ECMO, artificial hearts, and heart transplants. The OR staff employs a multidisciplinary approach to care for adult patients.

Responsibilities

• Independently scrub and circulate complex adult cardiac cases which may include CABGs, structural heart cases, minimally invasive procedures, and heart failure cases.
• Care for patients of all ages using a multidisciplinary approach in the operating room.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN License in New York.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the operating room, preferably in a level 1 trauma setting.
• Able to scrub and circulate in the operating room.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Telemetry experience is required.
• Experience with heart transplant and TAVI/TAVR procedures is preferred but not required.
