Registered Nurse - Operating Room (Ophthalmology)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

40 hours per week, primarily Monday to Friday days with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends.

Job Description

The Operating Room (OR) staff utilizes a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients of all ages in both scrub and circulating roles in the ophthalmology operating room.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients undergoing ophthalmologic procedures.
• Assume scrub and circulating roles within the operating room.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and comfort.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN License valid in New York State (Only).
• Two (2) years of experience in a level 1 trauma operating room preferred.
• Able to scrub and circulate during procedures.
• Experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics is required.
• BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) is required.
• ACLS Certification is preferred.
