Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

Night shifts, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30); flexible to work 3x12 shifts.

Job Description

This position is for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse responsible for providing care to childbearing women and newborns in a high-risk, Level 3 Perinatal center. The nurse will work closely with other healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment where 70% of patients are complex high risk, supporting approximately 150 births per month.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to expectant mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and provide support in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Manage labor and delivery processes, including circling in C-sections and performing procedures with the highest standards of care.
• Implement safety protocols and respond effectively to emergencies.
• Utilize EPIC charting system for accurate patient documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of experience preferred; minimum of 2 years required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state.
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, FHM required; AWHONN Intermediate and EFM Certification preferred.
