Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) for a Position in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU). The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, manage cardiac drips, and demonstrate proficiency with EPIC systems. The position is designed for a dedicated professional with a strong background in PCU nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient assessments and direct care to individuals in the Progressive Care Unit.
• Administer medication and monitor the administration of cardiac drips.
• Utilize the EPIC system for documentation and patient records management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Float to similar units as needed, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to patient needs.

Qualifications

• Current NJ Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certifications.
• NIHSS certification required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent PCU RN experience in a busy Level 1 Trauma facility.
• Proven experience with cardiac drips and strong critical thinking skills.

Schedule

This position requires a night shift, working every other weekend (EOW), totaling 36 hours per week.
