Registered Nurse - Urology

Job Description

The competent Nurse, in a clinical setting, practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of patient care. This position involves providing routine and complex nursing care to adult patients in the Urology specialty. The Nurse will continue to develop skills in managing clinical situations and make appropriate assignments while documenting patient care accurately. Experience with EPIC is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of assigned patients.
• Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty.
• BLS certification from AHA required.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact required.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
