Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Schedule

Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends.

Job Description

The Emergency Department Registered Nurse provides both direct and indirect patient care while ensuring optimal patient care and flow through the ER. This role involves evaluating patient outcomes, consulting with specialists, and adjusting nursing care as necessary based on patient status and treatment responses.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care addressing psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care.
• Ensure effective communication with patients and their families.
• Monitor changes in patient conditions and respond swiftly to treatment adjustments.
• Collaborate with ED physicians regarding patient status and diagnostic results.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Registered Nurse license within the State of Illinois.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• ENPC, TNCC, and TNS certifications are preferred.
