Registered Nurse - General Observation

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 3x12.5 Straight Days, Every Other Weekend (EOW) and Holiday, On Call per Unit Needs.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our General Observation unit. The role involves close monitoring of patients’ physical conditions, providing basic nursing care, and assisting in the early detection of potential health issues while working collaboratively with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor vital signs and assess patients' overall health status.
• Administer prescribed medications and provide assistance with daily living activities.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members regarding patient care.
• Provide initial care and stabilization in emergency situations and adhere to safety protocols.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year of travel experience.
• Current Registered Nurse license from the Ohio State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in a general medical-surgical unit or similar nursing field preferred.
