LPN/LVN - Acute Care Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: 4x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30)

Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend; Every other holiday

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced LPN/LVN for acute care settings. The successful candidate will work closely with a healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care. This position requires strong clinical skills and the ability to manage various patient needs effectively.

Responsibilities

• Medication Administration
• Monitoring and managing patients with telemetry
• Interpreting dysrhythmias
• Utilizing rapid response/code teams as required
• Performing peripheral line care and management
• Administering oxygen, including nasal cannula and oxygen tanks
• Utilizing isolation precautions as necessary
• Communicating patient status changes to RN/MD
• Maintaining vital sign monitoring and documentation

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of recent acute care experience required
• Current NY State LPN/LVN License
• BLS Certification
• 8 hours of stroke education completed
