Orthopedic Surgical Nurse (RN) - Rotating Shifts

Job Description

This is a 13-week contract position for an experienced Orthopedic Surgical Nurse (RN) specializing in orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and other elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses. Nurses are expected to demonstrate excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills while working collaboratively as a team player.

Schedule

36 or 48 hours per week, rotating shifts including day, evening, and night, with weekends, holidays, and on-call work as per unit needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to orthopedic surgical patients.
• Assist in the management of care for trauma and elective orthopedic cases.
• Monitor patient status and telemetry as required.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have at least 2 years of experience in orthopedic nursing.
• Current RN license in New York State.
• Telemetry experience is required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
