Stepdown Unit RN - Day/Night Shift

Schedule

Rotating shifts: 3x12 hours with day shifts from 07:00 - 19:30 and night shifts from 19:00 - 07:30.

Job Description

This role is for a Registered Nurse with experience in a Stepdown unit, responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with progressive and complex needs. This position requires the ability to float to various units within the healthcare system as necessary, ensuring continuity of care for similar patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families on health care and recovery procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of combined permanent experience in a relevant specialty.
• Current and valid Ohio RN license or compact state license.
• Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Recent Stepdown or Progressive Care experience is preferred.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate tests during orientation.
