Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

Schedule

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours guaranteed, with every other weekend required.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing the nursing process in providing compassionate care to individuals served. RNs provide direction and oversight to both licensed and non-licensed staff, demonstrating integrity and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Assess care needs and develop, implement, and reassess the plan of care collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide and coordinate nursing care to individuals and groups in collaboration with physicians.
• Assist in educating patients and their families while managing the care milieu.
• Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff in both individual and group settings.
• Document and report necessary information in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Monitor and report potential risks to patient safety.
• Create a customer-friendly environment adhering to quality improvement standards.
• Provide care across various clinical settings and identify individual patient needs for compassionate, person-centered care.
• Function as a clinical leader, coordinating staff assignments and promoting staff development.
• Train direct care staff and may oversee medication and physical health activities.
• Model the organization's mission and values, maintaining professionalism in all interactions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of behavioral health experience - Required
• Pediatric experience - Required
• Current BLS certification
• Valid Registered Nurse license in Michigan
