Day Shift: 5x8-Hour (12:00 - 20:30)

Job Description

The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the reprocessing of surgical instruments and provides critical support to the surgical team by ensuring the availability of sterile instruments and equipment. This position requires attention to detail and adherence to best practices for sterilization and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Handle and process surgical instruments, ensuring compliance with established protocols.
• Utilize sterilizing equipment, including steam sterilizers and decontamination units.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment.
• Assist in inventory management and organization of sterile supplies.
• Participate in routine maintenance and inspection of sterilization equipment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing or related field preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Previous travel experience preferred.
• CBSPD certification is not required but is a plus.
