Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency nursing for both adult and pediatric patients and experience in managing critical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Provide care for various conditions including CVA, neuro-trauma, and traumatic brain injuries.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Perform phlebotomy and start IVs, including continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
• Identify and report abuse or neglect, and manage infections and respiratory conditions.
• Care for ventilated patients and manage trauma cases such as gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years experience in an Emergency Department setting required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required.
• Must have a valid New York RN license in hand to submit.
• Experience with charting systems, particularly EPIC, is mandatory.
