Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with patient needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration. The therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers while maintaining compliance with safety and organizational standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilizes clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Documents medical records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Participates in student programs by providing supervision and completing evaluations.
• Actively pursues professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
• Adheres to the discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintains professional licensure in good standing.
• Engages with organizational performance improvement initiatives to enhance service quality.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Desired 6-month contract commitment.
