Job Description

The Pediatric Respiratory Therapist will provide specialized care in the NICU, PICU, and CVICU with pediatric patients. The role may involve floating to different units such as Shaker Children's Rehab, Fairview NICU, Akron NICU, and Hillcrest NICU. Candidates are expected to be proficient in high-level care for pediatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments to pediatric patients in critical and intensive care settings.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding respiratory conditions.
• Ensure compliance with facility protocols and standards of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years of experience in pediatrics, including NICU and PICU.
• Must possess an active Ohio RRT license.
• Certifications: NBRC, BLS, Advanced NRP, and PALS required.
• Experience in high-level care (level 4) settings is essential.
