Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Days, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM, with floating and call required.

Job Description

The Travel Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide general nursing care in a Medical-Surgical Inpatient Nursing Unit. The role may involve occasional care for non-critical pediatric patients. Nurses are expected to manage care for a patient ratio of 1:6.

Responsibilities

• Perform general med-surg nursing duties including assessments and patient care.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members.
• Ensure compliance with BLS, ACLS, and PALS protocols as necessary.
• Respond to call requirements according to census flex.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
• BLS certification is required; ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico. Note: fingerprints for all NM travelers are required.
