Physical Therapist - Outpatient and Inpatient Services

Job Description

The Physical Therapist is responsible for evaluating patients, establishing a plan of care, and treating patients who require physical therapy services. S/he delivers patient care within accepted boundaries of Physical Therapy Practice as defined by the New Mexico State Board of Physical Therapy, standards and policies accepted by the American Physical Therapy Association, and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients to determine the appropriate physical therapy interventions.
• Establish and implement individualized plans of care.
• Provide treatment and therapy sessions to patients.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and families on treatment protocols and wellness strategies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current Physical Therapist license in the state of New Mexico.
• Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings preferred.
