Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient outcomes and adjust care plans collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide comprehensive explanations and instructions regarding respiratory disease processes, interventions, and discharge to patients and responsible parties, ensuring understanding.
• Accept reassignment to other units as necessary.
• Share clinical knowledge with staff and students, serving as a role model for best clinical practices.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care.
• Deliver respiratory care as per physician orders while maintaining communication with medical and nursing staff.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in a related field is required.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
• Illinois Respiratory Therapy License.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - Maternity Health Care certification.

Schedule

This position requires night shifts.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
