PCU Registered Nurse - Resource Float Pool

Schedule

7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 36 hours scheduled with 24 hours guaranteed. Please note that there is a possibility of shift cancellations.

Job Description

The Resource Float Pool consists of a diversely skilled nursing team that provides support across two campuses. Nurses may float between adult health units, including Observation, Med Surg, and Progressive Care Units. There may also be occasional rotations to the Emergency Department or Post-Anesthesia Care Unit as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in various health units.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Assist in patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of treatments.
• Monitor patient conditions and make nursing judgments based on observations.
• Participate in educational efforts to promote patient health and wellness.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of recent PCU experience within the last 12 months.
• Current Life Support certifications (ACLS, BLS) from approved vendors.
• No restrictions or hits on the state license to practice.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
