Registered Nurse - Surgical Services

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule from 07:00 to 15:30, with on-call requirements including 12-hour shifts during weekdays and weekends.

Job Description

The surgical services team is looking for a skilled Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room. The candidate will provide comprehensive patient care under the guidance of the surgical team and manage both inpatient and outpatient cases.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgeries including orthopedics, general surgery, urology, gynecology, spine, and more.
• Circulate and scrub during surgeries, ensuring a safe and sterile environment.
• Administer medications and blood products, and monitor patient sedation during procedures.
• Support wound care management, including the use of wound vacs.
• Participate in on-call shifts as required, ensuring adequate coverage during off hours.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent surgical nursing experience required.
• Active RN license and compact license accepted.
• Current certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with robotics and ENT procedures strongly preferred.
