Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality care in a Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department. The role involves floating as needed to the Emergency Transitional Care Unit (ETCU) and providing inpatient level care to patients awaiting disposition.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing interventions and procedures as required in the Emergency Department.
• Deliver comprehensive care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide clinical support by coordinating with interdisciplinary teams for patient management.
• Utilize telemetry and monitor patients in the Emergency Transitional Care Unit.
• Manage and assist with triage, stabilization, and treatment of diverse medical conditions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
• Must possess valid certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
• First-time travelers will not be accepted.
• COVID-19 vaccination is required, with exemptions allowed.
