Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the telemetry unit is responsible for the care of patients requiring cardiac monitoring. The nurse will interpret telemetry strips, manage patient medications and IV therapies, and provide comprehensive nursing care to those with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and interpret telemetry readings for cardiac patients.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy according to established protocols.
• Provide interventions for dysrhythmias and multi-system organ dysfunction.
• Implement isolation precautions and manage care of ventilated patients.
• Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of charge nursing experience.
• Current RN license and certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS.
• Experience with Allscripts charting system preferred.
