Job Description

The Ambulatory OR Surgical Nurse will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. This nurse will be responsible for a range of surgical procedures while ensuring patient safety and adherence to compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with various surgical procedures, including but not limited to orthopedic, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, and podiatry cases.
• Ensure adherence to the Universal Protocol and other safety measures.
• Provide preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure the smooth operation of the OR.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charting using the Epic system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• California state nursing license (active or pending).
• Minimum of 1 year experience in an ambulatory surgical setting.
• Charge nurse experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is highly desirable.
• Skills in various surgical procedures including, but not limited to, laparoscopic and general surgeries, wound management, and infection control.
