Registered Nurse - Neuro Medical Surgical / Tele

Schedule

Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, every other weekend.

Job Description

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide high-acuity medical-surgical care in a neuro-focused unit. The role requires expertise in neuro assessments, critical thinking, drain management, and post-surgical care. The nurse will care for patients with complex diagnoses, including strokes, seizures, post-neuro surgeries, level 2 trauma patients, and general post-operative care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive neuro assessments and vital monitoring.
• Administer medications and manage patient care plans.
• Perform drain management and care for post-surgical patients.
• Provide care for patients with DKA, renal failure, and trauma.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (NIHSS certification can be obtained during the first week of orientation).
• Active RN license in the relevant state.
