Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the General Surgery department provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The role is accountable for individualized patient outcomes and encompasses comprehensive nursing services for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families or caregivers.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Coordinate care between other medical professionals as necessary.
• Provide comprehensive nursing services to a varied patient population.
• Diagnose and treat human responses to health problems.
• Ensure patient safety and quality standards are met.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of experience in a Trauma OR setting.
• Current Nevada State RN license prior to start.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Completion of CMP within one year of start date.
