Registered Nurse - Surgery

Assignment Duration

This is a per diem position requiring three shifts per month.

Schedule

Dayshift, with 12-hour shifts from 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgery will provide direct patient care in a surgical setting, ensuring a high standard of care is delivered to patients. This role includes collaboration with surgical teams, preparation for procedures, and monitoring patient recovery. The RN will perform specialized nursing functions in accordance with established protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and care for patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient care records and documentation.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to surgical interventions.
• Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active nursing license verification.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP as applicable.
• Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccination or attestation of vaccination/declination.
