Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Progressive Care

Job Description

The Cardiovascular Progressive Care unit focuses on providing care to patients undergoing various cardiovascular surgeries. This includes open heart surgeries and complex vascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in stepdown care and telemetry, and will be committed to delivering positive patient outcomes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgeries, including CABG, AVR, MVR, and others.
• Oversee telemetry monitoring and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications and perform procedures as required, including IV management, chest tube management, and epidural care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are required.
• Prior stepdown and telemetry experience are required.
• Experience with cardiovascular surgery and vascular surgery populations is preferred.
