Job Description

The Oncology Infusion registered nurse is a key member of the cancer care team, responsible for delivering professional oncology nursing care in the infusion area. The position emphasizes adherence to cancer care policies, procedures, and standards, including quality improvement and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of health history and patient needs.
• Administration of chemotherapy and immunotherapy as per physician orders.
• Patient and family education regarding treatment and care.
• Monitoring patient physical state and emotional well-being.
• Communication with patients, relaying information to physicians.
• Direct nursing care and triage of patient care needs.
• Collaboration with the cancer care team and compliance with quality standards.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of chemotherapy administration experience.
• EPIC experience required.
• ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Administration Certification.
• Active RN license.
